There is no gameplay in the initial trailer, but the production and storyline looks top notch.

Sony Has Sold a Big Ole Pile of PlayStation 4s—Fanboys Dancing in the Streets

Not too long ago, Microsoft announced their Xbox sales numbers and things were not so rosy for the tech giant. Sony has followed that up by providing their own sales numbers, totally rubbing salt in the wound.

In the latest fiscal report for Q1, Sony confirms that 100 million PS4s have been shipped since the 2013 launch to June 30, 2019. That’s is a shit ton of consoles shipped to retailers. The cherry on top is that Sony sold to customers 91.6 million consoles through 2018. That is also a shit ton of consoles in people’s homes.

PlayStation 5 is planned to come out 2020, but the PS4 has plenty of life left with this install base.

James Bond Director Shows Up 3 Hours Late Because of Wicked Gaming Session

RUSH PHOTOGRAPHY JA

Every gamer has been in a situation where your so enthralled by what’s happening that you flake on your responsibilities. But, not every gamer is the James Bond director Cary Fukunaga.

Fukunaga was gaming on his PlayStation when he should have been on set. When he finally showed up, the prima donna tried to get the crew to work over Father’s Day weekend to make up for lost time.

According to unnamed source:

“He turned up three hours late which p***ed everyone off. There was a big bust up because they’re so behind. Many said they were not willing to give up their Father’s Day in return for this film. It’s just doomed.”

The Sun

Now, all this information is coming from The Sun, which can be a bit sensionalist, but what is most egregious is they didn’t disclose what game Fukunaga was playing.

Bungie Clarifies: Destiny 2 Cross Save Does Not Mean Cross-Play—Dummy

Poor Cayde. Miss you.

When Bungie announced that Destiny 2 would be featuring cross save on every platform under the sun (even PS4), a lot of people most have lost their shit and assumed that meant cross-play too.

I mean, I didn’t, because I’m not stupid. Cross save and cross-play mean two totally different things, right? RIGHT!?!

I’m assuming that most people agree with this, as I’m a believer that people are generally smart. However, enough dimwits must have thought otherwise, so Bungie had to take to their boards and set things straight.

Q: Will Destiny 2 support cross-play matchmaking between different platforms?
A: No. Each platform will have its own matchmaking pool.

Got it! But surely there will be cross-play on the Stadia.

Q: Will Stadia feature cross-play with Steam or other platforms?
A: Stadia is its own ecosystem, just like current existing platforms. Stadia players will only be able to play with other Stadia players.

Everyone clear now?

Star Wars: Fallen Order Gameplay Trailer Does Not Look Like Crap

EA held their Play 2019 event today ahead of E3 and showed off a first look at gameplay from Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. It does not look shitty at all.

Looks like a fun — a cross between Titanfall and Uncharted, but with Star Wars shit sprinkled in.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is being developed by Respawn, a highly competent studio that makes great titles, who are under the boot of EA. Hoping it plays as good as it looks and that EA doesn’t not ruin it in some way.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order comes out on November 15, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Mysterious “Sources” Claim Destiny 2 Coming To Google Stadia and Getting Cross-Save Capabilities

Kotaku awaiting information from “Little Birds”

If Kotaku‘s sources are to be believed, they got the drop on the Google Stadia launch announcement planned for tomorrow and they are going to waste Google’s flavor.

If the “little birds” are to be believed, Google will announce tomorrow, along with price and launch date of the Stadia, that Destiny 2 is coming to the new streaming platform.

The informants also claim that cross-save functionality for Xbox One and PC will be enabled for the Google Stadia. So if you’re on a PC or an Xbox One, you can transfer your Destiny 2 progress over to the Stadia.

No news on the PS4 front, but given Sony’s past track record when it comes to playing nice “cross platform,” they’re probably not on board. They’ll have a lame excuse, like to protect the children, or some other lame ass bullshit.

Destiny 2 is probably a good title for the Google Stadia. If you think about it, Destiny 2 is not a twitch shooter, so any possible lag from streaming, can be hidden. Of course, if you’re playing in the Crucible, lag can be controller spiking infuriating.

We’ll see tomorrow, June 6 at 12:00 PM EST, when Google spills the beans.
