With the advent of new consoles has come a new unique problem. The PS5 and Series X|S are backwards compatible with the previous generation, but how does one know if they are playing the best version for their expensive new console?

Microsoft has an elegant solution with its Smart Delivery system that will automatically install (or update) a game to the best version your console. On the Sony side, it was a little less clear, so it was possible to install a PS4 version of a game on your hot new PS5

Now your PS5 will ask you if you want to switch to the new hotness or continue playing the old and busted version. Real hard choice.
