Rovio Entertainment, makers of the popular mobile game franchise Angry Birds is none too pleased with a chain of fast food restaurants owned by David and Mary Mkhitaryan.
The Mkhitaryans decided to name their restaurants ‘Angry Birdz.’ Yes, all they did was change one fricking letter. They’re even using the same font used in the game.
Rovio has sued the Mkhitaryans for trademark infringement after the couple ignored a cease and desist letter delivered to them back in February 2019.
For what it’s worth, the Angry Birdz the restaurant has a 5 star Yelp review.
Not too shabby. Next time I’m in L.A., I need to check it out, before they are sued out of existence.
