You Can Install 2TB of Memory on the Nintendo Switch – Someday

The Nintendo Switch comes with 32GB of memory, which is paltry. However, the system does have a Micro SD slot, so that should alleviate any issues if you’re willing to buy you’re own to supplement the whimpy on board memory.

According to a post on GameInformer.com, space may never be an issue on the Switch, if you’re willing to pay for some pricey new memory and are patient. A Nintendo representative has confirmed to Game Informer that the Switch is compatible with Micro SDXC. These cards can go up to 2TB, even though they are not available to consumers at that size just yet.

“Nintendo Switch is compatible with the SDXC standard, which supports up to 2TB. (Note that 2TB cards are not yet on the market, but the system will support them when they are.)”

See, the Nintendo Switch is a forward thinking device.
