Variety is reporting that Will Ferrell will star as an aging professional eSports player in an upcoming comedy.

Will Ferrell is a funny guy and his comedies have a very distinct quality. So when one hears that he’s working a comedy about eSports, it’s pretty easy to get a mental picture on what it will be like.  According to Variety’s sources, the film will be “in the vein of Ferrell’s NASCAR comedy Talladega Nights.”

Real life eSports teams Evil Geniuses and Fnatic are in discussions to make an appearance in the film as well.
