Laura Dale and her network of “little birds” are relentless when it comes to Nintendo Switch rumors. This time they have some morsels on the launch line-up.
First off, if you were hoping that Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be available at launch, you’re going to be disappointed. According to Dale, Zelda: Breath of the Wild “will not launch until several months into the Switch’s lifespan…” A Wii U version is still in the works, but it will be delayed as well.
Regarding what to expect at launch, Dale’s sources state that the unnamed Mario title that was shown ever so briefly in the Switch’s launch trailer will indeed be a launch title in March 2017.
Also, that the Skyrim port that was shown on the launch trailer, which Bethesda refuses to confirm or deny is happening, according to Dale’s “little birds.”
Lastly, apparently the more expensive Switch SKU will have a pack-in title. Rumor has it that it will be a new version of Splatoon, with a big push towards a 1 vs 1 mode.
All interesting and good stuff, unless you’re a Zelda fan.
