Polish developer/publisher CD Projekt has called an urgent meeting to protect itself from possible hostile makeover, according to Polish media sources.
Thanks to Chrome translate, which is not perfect, but better than nothing I suppose, company management called for a meeting to take place on November 29. Via Google translate, the goal of the meeting is to initiate a plan that will “protect and ensure respect for the interests of all shareholders in the event of potential emergence of a major investor, who would not want to suggest a fair price.”
It is not known if this meeting is being called due to rumblings or just because they want to shore things up as a best practice.
CD Projekt Red, which is both fiercely independent and successful, has been rumored to be in major publisher cross-hairs in the past for possible take-over.
